Earlier today, Apple unveiled its list of its most downloaded apps this year, along with the pick of 15 apps and games, the winners of the 2021 App Store Awards.

The three most downloaded free iPhone apps were TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Here are the full listings below.

The selection for the 2021 Apple App Awards was made by the Apple App Store Global Editorial Team. Their goal this year was to bring out innovative, creative and revolutionary concepts built by global developers.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said the developers honored with this year’s App Store Award winners have “harnessed their own drive and vision” while “sparking the creativity and passion of millions of users through the world “.

Here are the winners of the 2021 Apple App Store Awards:

  • IPhone App of the Year: Toca Life World, by Toca Boca

Connecting the Toca Life apps into one large app, this simulator-like app allows the user to create their own world with customizable stories.

  • IPad App of the Year: LumaFusion, by LumaTouch

A popular multitrack video editor beloved by professional filmmakers and journalists around the world.

  • Mac App of the Year: Craft, by Luki Labs Limited

A writing app with easy note taking features and flexible documentation structure.

  • Apple TV App of the Year: DAZN, from the DAZN Group

A sports watch app where users can exclusively stream NFL games 24/7.

  • Apple Watch App of the Year: Carrot Weather, by Grailr

A fast and easy-to-use weather app with accurate forecasts and a colorful user interface.

  • IPhone Game of the Year: “League of Legends: Wild Rift” by Riot Games

The ever popular MOBA (Multiplayer Online Fighting Arena) which always generates hype among fans around the world.

  • IPad Game of the Year: “MARVEL Future Revolution”, from Netmarble Corporation

With a roster of playable Marvel Comics characters, Marvel’s first open-world RPG mobile game has grown in popularity in its first three months.

  • Mac Game of the Year: “Myst” by Cyan

An adventure game with stunning graphics and magnificent gameplay.

  • Apple TV Game of the Year: “Space Marshals 3” by Pixelbite

Stealth story based action game with new modes and missions frequently added.

  • Apple Arcade Game of the Year: “Fantasian” by Mistwalker

Japanese exploration-based role-playing game with a very familiar Final Fantasy vibe.

Apple also announced five apps for their “Trend of the Year” awards. This year’s trend was “Connection”, to signify the ever increasing expansion of the digital world and the way international movements can connect people all over the world.

The five applications awarded under this title are: “Among us! Innersloth; Bumble, from Bumble Inc .; Canva, from Canva; EatOkra, by Anthony Edwards Jr. and Janique Edwards; and Peanut, from Peanut App Limited.
